This simple dish is great served with buttered toast.

Crab Meat Avery Island
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 medium onions chopped
  • 1/3 cup sliced celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 1/2 pounds lump crab meat
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add in the onion, celery, and green pepper. Cook until the vegetables are tender. Blend in the flour, and whisk in the milk, soup, Tobasco, and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Cook over medium heat until the mixture is thickened and is bubbly.
  3. Add in the salt to taste, lump crab meat, and parsley.
  4. Serve over buttered toast.
